My name is Jarin and I am obsessed with memories; I blame it on my family. Every year, my cousins and I were forced by our moms to do a family calendar photoshoot. And every year we took hours to get just a few decent pictures because of how uncooperative we were. The moms later learned that bribing us with shave ice or Menchies was the only way to reach their quota. At the time, my cousins and I hated posing for pictures, but looking back 5-10 years later, those pictures have become memories and family treasures.

In my first semester of college, I made vlogs using my phone and I shared them with my family back home. With each vlog, I became more willing to try new things just so I could share them with my family in the next vlog. Moreover, there was so much creative freedom in how you take a picture or edit a video. For the last 5 years, photography and videography have become my best form of expression.

One of my family's favorite pastimes is reminiscing on old family pictures and remembering the good times. There are some pictures that I stumble upon while going through my family's hard drive and they spark  memories that I forgot I had. I am driven to take as many photos/videos as I can in as many different places because it is my way of creating
